The BMW R67/2 model started production in 1952 and ended in 1954 with the advent of the Earls fork/swing arm models. Produced alongside the smaller and much more numerous R51/3, the 4,234 R67/2's were designed for touring and were able to pull a sidecar. Early versions featured half width drum brakes and metal shrouded forks. Later versions went to full width alloy hubs and rubber fork gaiters.
